charming hotel near iconic amsterdam landmarks and cozy cafes
staying here made it super easy to stroll to the anne frank house and enjoy a coffee at nearby cafes. The beautiful decor really added to the charm of the place. as a solo traveler, I appreciated the lively atmosphere and being able to explore the neighborhood on foot, but the check-in process could have been a bit more streamlined.

However, the breakfast options could have been more varied.

My recent stay at Mercier was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring all my business needs were met efficiently. The decor is charming and creates a welcoming atmosphere, while the bar area offers a great space to unwind. The location is perfect for both work and leisure, with several cafes within walking distance.
Room could have used more storage options.

The location is truly ideal for first timers and we
appreciated how easy it was to walk to major attractions. The Duplex Suite was roomy and clean, but the bathroom could use better ventilation. The staff were very helpful with recommendations, making our stay enjoyable overall.

Wonderful location near canals and attractions. The bicycle rental made exploring easy. Shower pressure poor. Rooms were a bit dark.

Our stay was fantastic! The Deluxe room was spacious, with a cozy sitting area and heated bathroom floors. The rain shower was refreshing with great water pressure. The staff were incredibly helpful, even storing our luggage and retrieving our passports after we accidentally left them in the safe. So convenient!
We had a little mix-up upon check-in.

The eclectic decor stood out with vibrant art pieces lining the walls, creating a lively and engaging environment. The tranquil courtyard offered a peaceful escape from the city buzz, ideal for unwinding after a long day.
I had a rough time with the 'Comfort Double or Twin Room. ' The view promised was just a wall, leaving the place darker than most caves I've seen, despite it being sunny outside. It's a gamble with room types. I think my room was practically an 'Indoor Room' given the lack of natural light. Additionally, I had a scent issue that lingered unpleasantly—like something was trying to cover up a bigger problem. Overall, while the vibe's neat, it seems they need to work on room quality and transparency around what's available.

The Deluxe room was spacious with a comfy seating area. It had air conditioning, a coffee machine, a flat-screen TV, and a nice shower with good water pressure. The bar area was perfect for unwinding. Breakfast was a highlight, with freshly baked pastries and made-to-order omelets. Location was great, near restaurants and shops.

I enjoyed the great location of the Hotel Mercier. I could easily walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The breakfast options were good, especially the croissants. The room had a comfortable bed, which made my stay more pleasant. However, housekeeping didn't clean our room every day, which was a letdown. Also, the room lacked good lighting and the window handle was broken, so I couldn't get any fresh air. It was inconvenient to navigate the dark hallway with all the luggage. I asked for an early check-in for a sick friend, but the staff didn't accommodate that. On top of that, borrowing an umbrella felt odd since they insisted on its return. Overall, it had its ups and downs.
